- 1 lb. Italian sausage crumbled cooked
- 1/3 onion diced
- 1/2 bell pepper chopped
- 6 oz mushrooms chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 cups water
- 12 oz pizza sauce
- 28 oz diced tomatoes
- 7 oz pepperoni
- 2 tsp Johnny's seasoning garlic spread
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp basil fresh; optional
- mozzerella optional garnish
In a large Dutch oven or saucepan, sauté sausage until brown.
Add onion, pepper and garlic. cook 5 minutes. Add in mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes more.
Add water, pizza sauce, tomatoes, herbs and pepperoni.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes or longer. Stir occasionally.
Before serving, add mozzarella cheese.
