Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage crumbled cooked
  • 1/3 onion diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper chopped
  • 6 oz mushrooms chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups water
  • 12 oz pizza sauce
  • 28 oz diced tomatoes
  • 7 oz pepperoni
  • 2 tsp Johnny's seasoning garlic spread
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp basil fresh; optional
  • mozzerella optional garnish

Instructions

  • In a large Dutch oven or saucepan, sauté sausage until brown.
  • Add onion, pepper and garlic. cook 5 minutes. Add in mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes more.
  • Add water, pizza sauce, tomatoes, herbs and pepperoni.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes or longer. Stir occasionally.
  • Before serving, add mozzarella cheese.
