This is great when you want something sweet, but that is also very fast to make. The recipe is versatile as well although you may need to experiment when using other flavors of sugar free chips. Whether you’re a sweets person or not, I’m a firm believer that it’s okay to allow yourself a bit of indulgence every now and then. Maybe you indulged too much in December, and instead of making a whole batch of cookies…..the next time you need something sweet, consider this warm gooey treat!
Hot and melty, this luxurious concoction is yummy enough to tempt even serious cookie fans.
Like most cookies, it’s best eaten right away. Really, it’s just a whole lot of chocolate chip cookie comfort in a cup! What’s great is how with individual serving sizes, portion control is automatic, and so is your opportunity for creativity..different chips, nuts, and extracts. Just imagine the possibilities.

Well this recipe was really simple and we love that about it. I also love the portion control aspect of it, because its easy to over do even Keto foods. I made a White Chocolate version of it and it was just pretty good. WHAT I LEARNED: If using white chocolate chips or other sweeter chips such as a milk chocolate (Lily’s now has Milk Chocolate Chips), you have to adjust your amount of natural sweetener to avoid from being too sweet. The texture also seemed to change a bit as well with the White Chocolate chips. We also thought about adding chopped nuts to add another flavor component. All and all we’ve been enjoying this easy to make dessert.

Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie In a Cup
- 8 or 12 oz cup or mug
- 1 TB butter
- 1 TB granulated natural sweetener
- 1 TB brown sugar alternative
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk yolk only
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 TB Sugar free chocolate chips ****30 chips equals approximately 1 tablespoons! *We recommend "semi-sweet" Lily's brand or something that is sweetened with "Erythritol"***
- Start by melting your butter in the microwave. Butter should just be melted, not boiling.
- Add sweeteners, vanilla,and salt, stir well to combine.
- Separate your egg and add the yolk only to your cup. Stir well to combine. Add your 1/4 cup flour. Mix well.
- Add the chocolate chips, stir again. Your mixture should resemble cookie dough. Reserve a few chips for the top.
- Cook in the microwave 40 to 60 seconds, start checking for doneness at 40 seconds. My microwave took 50 seconds. Do not overcook. Best served warm.
