Why Greek Yogurt?

Protein. I’m being serious here. I like to enjoy frozen treats, and a creamy key lime inspired popsicle that has some protein and good fats helps. Then it’s like a snack and treat all in one.

My other reason for using Greek yogurt in this frozen lime popsicle recipe is that it freezes well! The slightly lower liquid content in the Greek yogurt helps  offset the liquid added by the lime juice.

If you’re a fan of citrusy flavors, then you have to try these. They’re refreshing, sweet, and slightly tangy and have a perfect balance of flavors. Either you consider these a dessert or a little snack, these Easy Key Lime Popsicles will put an end to your sweet tooth!

  • popsicle mold silicone; optional


  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 1 TB lime zest
  • 1/3 cup key lime juice or regular lime juice
  • 1/2 cup swerve powdered; more or less to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 drops green food coloring optional


  • Using a blender, combine all ingredients.
  • Pour mixture evenly into molds, or cups. Insert sticks.
  • Freeze 3 to 4 hours until firm. Remove from freezer to left soften slightly for removal.
